The Wedding of Dawnmarie and Chris at The Lake House Inn
As the years pass and the memories of what you have experienced begin to fade and be replaced by the photos and videos that were captured. One thing always remains as those days and years pass by, the feelings that were felt and the happiness that was shared. As a lifetime member of the “professional DJ” club and someone who feels they have seen it all at weddings, the people that I have the honor of working with are what stand out most for me. Dawnmarie and Chris were instant members of my “awesome newlyweds” list!
Dawnmarie and Chris were married at the Lake House Inn located in historic Bucks County, Pennsylvania on June 29, 2019. They tied the knot overlooking Lake Nockamixon to the sweet strings of a violin and the majestic keys of a piano (Side note: While being a DJ is a skill that has taken years to master, I’m still somewhat envious of musicians because, ya know, they MAKE music while I PLAYBACK someone else’s). During our meeting to plan the details of the wedding, Dawnmarie and Chris consistently highlighted their families and their importance to the day.
After their first dance as husband and wife to Ruelle’s “I Get to Love You” and a heartfelt toast, Dawnmarie shared a special dance with her father, Michael, to Bob Carlisle’s “Butterfly Kisses”. Groom Chris followed our Father/Daughter dance by sharing the floor with Barb, or as Chris called her his “Mother from another Mother” and “Do I Make You Proud” by Taylor Hicks.
The rest of the evening consisted of laughter, cheers and a sweaty dance floor. Dawnmarie and Chris’s families danced to favorites from every era, reaching back to Elvis and bringing them up to some Bruno Mars. Most parties are not complete without a classic hip-hop and R&B set from the 90’s and early 2000’s (Babyface, Jagged Edge, Nelly and Usher), which is always a dance floor game changer. The night closed with a “Sparkler Send-off” that brought extra fireworks that were felt throughout the evening.
