Jessica and Kristian’s Aldie Mansion Wedding

I believe any great DJ has to love working with people as much as they love playing great music. Getting to meet a brides and grooms and learn about them is one of my favorite parts about my job as a Wedding DJ. I met Jessica and Kristian at a Starbucks a couple months before their big day. Jessica and I shared very similar backgrounds; both of us worked in IT and deal with topics that many people lose interest in quickly. Then there is Kristian, a good ol’ farm boy (and a genuinely nice guy), literally born and raised on a working farm. It amazes me how such different people meet, but work so well together.

The big day kicked off when the farm tractor rolled up to the beautiful Aldie Mansion in Bucks County on a cold wintry day. Yet the sun was shining and there was no snow in sight. Aldie Mansion was decorated accordingly with hints of Christmas cheer and icicles hanging in the ballroom. While Jessica and Kristian wanted to embrace the Christmas cheer, they did not want the focus of the music to be about the holiday but rather blending their musical tastes with “what would make the party rock.” Like most couples I meet, their tastes in music were not as unusual as they had thought. We got to mix in a bunch of Motown and oldies, a little bit of country for Kristian, and little bit of some new radio hits for Jessica. Kristian got to bring himself and his bride into the room on a little red tractor. The beaming smiles on their faces lit up the room and set the fun atmosphere for the rest of the night. Everything from “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy”, to Pink Floyd, a little Stevie Wonder, and fist pumping beats of David Guetta were played. Very different genres all mixed together to form an awesome, personalized, and fun party.

The staff at Aldie and the fantastic crew with Ben Reeder Photography all played a huge part in creating and capturing the evening’s memories. I wish Jessica and Kristian all the best.

We used Cutting Edge Entertainment as our DJ for our wedding at Aldie Mansion in Doylestown, PA. We selected Adam Brand as our DJ and were very pleased with his professionalism and services. Adam was very organized and informative when we met him prior to our wedding to discuss our song selections. He had plenty of suggestions and made the planning process simple for us. The night of our wedding he arrived early and was ready prior to the event. He did an excellent job keeping the crowd engaged at our wedding and managed to incorporate all the different music styles we requested. After the wedding we received several compliments about Adam. I would most definitely recommend Cutting Edge Entertainment to any future bride who wants an organized and talented DJ to keep the crowd going on their special day.
