Kristin and Joe’s Huntingdon Valley Wedding

Wedding DJ Philadelphia

September 1st of 2012 was a very busy day for me and the rest of the DJ team here at Cutting Edge Entertainment. In fact, I am sure it was a busy day for most Wedding DJs, photographers, caterers, and other wedding vendors all over the Philadelphia area. It seems a lot of couples were married on that date, and they couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day – talk about perfect weather!

Now out of all the people that got married on September 1st I would like to nominate my clients Kristin and Joe as being the ultimate coolest bride and groom of the day. I know a lot of other brides and grooms may want to debate this, but they weren’t at the wedding I had the opportunity to DJ. Kristin and Joe are the type of people who just give off such an upbeat vibe, and after ten seconds of being in their company you find yourself smiling. They have such positive energy that it’s just contagious. I can understand why they have so many friends and family that love them and were down to celebrate with them at the wedding reception.

This was a wedding that I was anticipating for months, just because I knew it was going to be blast. The wedding was held at the Huntingdon Valley Country Club, which is a venue I have worked at many, many times. The guests enjoyed the lovely weather during cocktail hour while out on the terrace overlooking the golf course. Once cocktail hour ended, we brought everyone in to the ballroom and began our introductions. The parents, bridal party, and bride and groom each had came out and the guests were cheering so hard it almost overpowered the music. Once the first dance and toasts were finished, everyone enjoyed an amazing meal courtesy of the staff of the Huntingdon Valley Country Club. Once dinner ended, we quickly got everyone out on the dance floor. I played everything from “Land of a Thousand Dances” by Wilson Picket to “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen as well as tons of other great party hits in between. The bride and groom were out on the dance floor nearly the entire night, along with their roughly two hundred guests. It was a great time for all.

Carol and the rest of the staff at the Huntingdon Valley Country Club did a great job, as they always do. It is always a pleasure working together with them and I look forward to my next opportunity. I also had the opportunity to work with Heather from Heather DiPiazza Photography. She did a great job and I appreciate her letting us use these images on our blog. Congratulations once again to Kristin and Joe, it was a pleasure to be your Wedding DJ.
