After a brief vacation over the winter, I was excited to start off the New Year with some awesome parties. The first Bar Mitzvah I was the DJ for in 2012, was on Saturday March 3rd. The Cutting Edge staff and I were at the William Penn Inn, ready to rock out Bradley’s Bar Mitzvah. After meeting with Bradley and his parents a few weeks before the Bar Mitzvah, I was confident this was going to be a fun party. We had a great pre-party meeting as we went over the games, the dance music, and overall just getting excited for the big day.
All of our Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah packages include at least two Dancer/Party Motivators. Our goal is to keep all the kids engaged right from the start of cocktail hour straight through until the end of the party. We make sure that all the kids are involved in the party either dancing or playing games on the dance floor. With about forty kids at Bradley’s party, three Dancers that helped me out tremendously at keeping things animated, and pulling off some really cool games.
My goal was to start my 2012 Mitzvah year with a bang and boy did we do that! Bradley, along with Mom and Dad, were out there on the dance floor for the whole party. We had a lot of fun playing all types of awesome music, with everything from “I Can’t Help Myself” from the Four Tops to the “Cupid Shuffle”.
A few weeks after the Bar Mitzvah, Alyssa (Bradley’s Mom) went on yelp.com and wrote the following review.
I hired cutting edge because I had been to a great bar Mitzvah years before and Cutting edge was in charge of the entertainment. I never forgot that bar Mitzvah and years later I got their number and booked them for my son’s bar Mitzvah. I was very impressed with everything from start to end. The preparation was thorough and they were able to work with the Amazing Bottle Dancers that we hired to bring about an authentic old world flair. Richie was a great MC and personalized the event and the 3 dancers really kept the kids moving. Everyone loved the fun hats and light up glasses and favors that the dancers passed out. The game during dinner was a blast for young and old and the kids loved coke and Pepsi. Thanks Richie for all of your hard work. We are so glad we have the video to look back at this special day. We were all sad when it was over and thanks to Cutting Edge we now have a new favorite bar mitzvah.
Congratulations to Bradley!!
