The Durham Hill Farm Wedding Reception of Lorna and Alex
On the next stop on our Wedding DJ tour, we find ourselves in Pipersville, Pennsylvania, at the stunning Durham Hill Farms. July 14th, brought together Alex and Lorna. This was one of the better traveled weddings of the season as a fair number of guests came from across the pond from Scotland. Kilts, bagpipes to surprise the bride, and some traditional Scottish dances filled the evening.
A fear any couple has of two separate traditions at weddings is that not all guests will understand or participate. However, the energy in the room was contagious, and arm in arm the guests flocked to the floor to circle our Bride and Groom for a traditional Hora. As the air filled with the song for a traditional “Gay Gordons” dance, all guests participated in the Scottish Wedding tradition. A beautiful night filled with two sides of the world blending together through song, dance, and love
Kudos to my counterparts at the event. Elizabeth over at Durham Hill farm provided another flawless evening. Each time I step foot on the farm, I am blown away by its one of a kind aesthetics. Brian and his staff at B & T Catering are among the best around, truly a pleasure as always! The photos seen above come from Rachel Marie. The video attached to this blog was shot by the folks at Tweed Weddings. Last but not least, my partner in crime that day and one of the biggest joys to work with, the wedding planner, Stephanie. Steph, you rocked it and I could not have made the night as big of a success without you along the way!
