The Prophecy Creek Wedding of Katie and Reno

In October of 2012 I was the DJ for Katie and Reno’s wedding reception. The party was held at the Prophecy Creek Manor House in Ambler, Pennsylvania. The first time I met Katie was actually a few months prior at an open house, which the Manor House holds regularly. We meet many new clients at open houses, in many different venues in the area. A few days later we had our initial consultation at our office, to go over the wedding details, and they were one of those couples with whom I felt as if I clicked with almost instantly. After talking with them for about an hour, going over a timeline, talking about music, and telling them about my approach to my job, they decided to hire me to DJ their wedding reception. Time flew by and before I knew it, the big day had arrived. My assistant DJ and I got to Prophecy Creek about two hours before the start of cocktail hour. We quickly got set up and settled in, before the roughly one hundred and fifty guests arrived.

I spent hours with Katie and Reno through phone calls, emails, and our nearly two hour wrap up meeting. After all that, I was ready to get people out their dancing for this wedding. The bride, groom, and their bridal party led the charge to the dance floor. Everything worked from some oldies such as “I Can’t Help Myself” from The Four Tops to music from today like “Moves Like Jagger” by Maroon 5. I had a lot of fun being the DJ for this reception. Nicole of Nicole Leigh Photography did a great job capturing the night on camera. . The great staff at Prophecy Creek did an excellent job and provided excellent food, drinks, and service.
