The Aldie Mansion Wedding of Christine and DJ

It was one of the most laid-back, yet exciting evenings I had worked in some time. Highlighted by a couple that was thrilled to be together and a crowd that wanted nothing more than a few laughs and some aching feet; we were happy to oblige. Christine and DJ shared their special day at Aldie Mansion in Bucks County on March 24, 2012.

The day began with a romantic ceremony in the main ballroom surrounded by the sounds of Paganini and Brandenburg.  After a swift cocktail hour the bridal party was introduced to an energy-laden room that was ready to party. The parents strolled in to the traditional Italian sounds of the Tarentella, while the bridal party danced their way in to “Sexyback” by Justin Timberlake. One of my personal favorites was the song that Christine and DJ selected for their own introduction, the rock anthem “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” by The Darkness; this is one of the greatest tracks to enter a room to…it’s a fist-pumping, crowd jumping anthem that says it all.

Christine smiled all evening and didn’t show a single sign of nerves, and DJ was/is one of the most relaxed grooms I’ve ever worked with. The dance floor was filled with friends, family and an even mix of classics and new requests (Flo Rida, LMFAO).

Congratulations, Christine and DJ. Keep laughing and keep on dancing. It’s going to be a fun, love-filled adventure.
