The Aldie Mansion Wedding of Rebecca and Dan
On Saturday, October sixteenth of 2010, I rocked out yet another great wedding at Aldie Mansion in Bucks County. Over the course of 2010, I was the DJ and MC for many weddings and I am grateful for all the great people I meet, Rebecca and Dan included. From the first time we met, I got along great with this couple, and I had a lot of fun working together with them before their wedding. We sat in the office for a few hours just listening to music and going over the party details. I felt very confident that I knew what had to be done in order to make this wedding memorable for this dynamic duo.
I have worked many times in the past at Aldie Mansion, as you may have seen in previous blogs. It’s important that the DJ is constantly communicating with the catering staff. The goal; to ensure the party is running smoothly avoiding any unnecessary breaks (down time) in the reception. As the entertainer for the wedding, I want to make sure the crowd is either eating, taking in a traditional formality such as the first dance, cake cutting, etc., or of course, dancing. Since I have worked so many times before at Aldie Mansion, I know the party is going to have a nice flow. Rebecca and Dan’s wedding was just that. We transitioned smoothly from cocktail hour to dinner, and then after dinner we went right into dancing. The dance floor was filled with guests the entire night. I played a variety of music from the 60s all the way up to today’s latest hits.
I’m extremely appreciative to Rebecca and Dan for letting me be apart of their special day, and hope all their guests had a great time. I also am grateful for Bruce and Kristen of B and K Wedding Photography for providing me these pictures to feature on our blog. They did a great job and I hope to work with them again in the future. I can’t end this post without also thanking the staff at Aldie Mansion. Kim and Shelly of Jeffrey Miller Catering do a fantastic job running the show. All of their maitre d’s, bartenders, and servers are first class, and I look forward to many more events at this historic and elegant venue.

Richie, I can not thank you enough for making our wedding absolutely incredible! Out of all the decisions we made in putting our wedding together, hiring you was by far the best one. People are still raving about about what an amazing time they had. Seeing all of our friends and family (from the youngest to the eldest) dancing the night away is a memory I will cherish forever. You are top notch and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
Sincerely,
Rebecca and Dan Russell
