Philadelphia DJ in Brooklyn: Marc & Liza’s Wedding
On Sunday, September 26 of 2010, Cutting Edge Entertainment traveled North of Philly to Brooklyn, New York for a wedding at The Rotunda at Kingsborough. The bride and groom were lots of fun to work with, and were very creative, which could have a lot to do with the fact that they both work as actors in Off-Broadway Productions. In fact, they currently reside in Chicago where they are performing in the play “Billy Elliot”.
The wedding ceremony was held outside overlooking the water. As guests were being seated waiting for the ceremony begin, we played some great music from the Vitamin String Quartet, who take many popular modern tunes that we are all familiar with and turns them into very classy and sophisticated sounding string music . Some of my favorite songs from them are Hey Ya by OutKast, The Beatles classic Penny Lane, and even Guns n Roses Sweet Child of Mine. Once the ceremony was over, everyone moved on to the cocktail hour and then upstairs to the ballroom for the reception. After the first dance was over, I got everyone on the dance floor for a Hora. There was lots of dancing during the wedding, and even a special performance from the groom who sang a special song to his beautiful bride.
It was my first opportunity to work with Tina from Fahrenheit NYC Photography. She did an outstanding job as you can easily tell from the photos she was kind enough to provide for us. The staff at the Rotunda also was great to work with and I hope to get another opportunity to work there again. Finally, Marc and Liza, thank you for the opportunity to DJ your wedding. I hope all your friends and family had an amazing time.
