Taffy and Marty’s Moshulu Philadelphia Wedding
The best part of working as a Wedding DJ is that I have fun at my job. At the office, at a party, meeting clients, or behind the mixer, most of the time I am having a blast. Now if you go to meet a doctor you expect and probably want him or her to be serious, because your health is important, however, when you are meeting with me, well, I’m a DJ, and the main purpose of my job is to make sure you and everyone at your party is dancing and having a good time. Most wedding receptions are fun celebrations you share with your friends and family. I have a great time meeting with brides and grooms and talking about their wedding, going through a timeline, talking about the music they like to dance to, and just visualizing the day with them. I feel that many folks who choose to book Cutting Edge Entertainment because they have a good time meeting with myself and our staff, and if we can have fun in a meeting for a hour, it’s likely that we will have a great time at a four or five hour reception. I am confident that is why Taffy and Marty chose Cutting Edge as their Wedding DJ.
Once dinner ended, the bride and groom were out on the dance floor the entire night with their guests. In my opinion, that is the key to a packed dance floor. Although I feel I’m a great DJ and enthusiastic MC, I keep in mind that the guests did not come to dance for me, but to celebrate with the true stars of the show, our bride and groom. As always, when the bride and groom are out there on the floor, their guests are sure to follow suit.

We got married five weeks ago and are still reliving the wonderful experience Richie Abrams provided for our wedding guests and us. From the first time we sat down with him, we knew he was special. This was my first time working at the Moshulu restaurant in Philadelphia, PA. It is a unique venue to have a wedding reception. Over the past few years there has been a trend in having receptions at these venues over the traditional ballrooms in hotels or country clubs. I also had a great time working with Sean from Barnyard Photography. I want to thank them for letting me feature the images from the wedding on our blog.
