Britt and John’s Wedding at Anthony Wayne House
As a Wedding DJ, 2019 was a fun and busy year. Occasionally, some events blend into the background while others jump to the forefront. The wedding of Britt and John on October 5th is one that jumps to the head of the pack. I believe that every party is unique. The ability to make each reception the best it can be begins when I meet the clients. Each wedding is prepared two to three weeks before the wedding, when we have our clients come in and meet with their DJ at our office.
I would have to say one of the most memorable things about Britt and John’s wedding was our pre-wedding meeting. We listened and picked out all the music for the dinner and dancing. I also helped them select music for the grand entrances and cake cutting. I had a lot of fun sitting with them, and going over every last detail for the wedding. As we settled on each song selection you could sense excitement as her vision was becoming a reality.
The wedding was held at the Anthony Wayne House in Paoli, located in Montgomery County Pennsylvania. This was a venue I have worked at many times before, and the staff from Jeffrey Miller Catering was on top of their game. They know how to keep a reception running smoothly. After a few toasts, dinner began and the staff at the The Anthony Wayne House did an outstanding job of accommodating all guests and providing an excellent meal. Once everyone was done, we got the party going. Both myself and DJ Jarred worked hard to read the crowd, and kept the music going back to back and beat to beat. This was a great crowd and a fun wedding to DJ.
Britt and John are definitely both party animals, and they really wanted all of their guests to have a great time. They picked the right Wedding DJ for the job, because getting (and keeping) people out on the dance floor happens to be my specialty. I played everything from “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston to “Low” by Flo Rida, and everyone had a blast. One thing remained the same… It didn’t hurt that this crowd was ready to go as soon as dinner was over, and did not stop until the reception came to a close.
Now, of course, I can’t take all the credit for the success of the party. I worked together with a great staff at The Anthony Wayne House, who did a great job and were easy to work with. Great food is a key element to a successful party, and the food at the venue was outstanding. I also worked alongside Sharyn of Sharyn Frenkel Photography. She took some great pictures from the party. Finally I need to thank Britt and John for being so much fun to work with and get to know. As the Wedding DJ, it is easy to keep the dance floor packed when the bride and groom are out there in the thick of it. Everyone here at Cutting Edge Entertainment wishes you all the best and we hope to see you on the dance floor at future events.
