Kelly and Nick’s Normandy Farm Wedding
Normandy Farm – located in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania – is always a gracious host, and has welcomed me with open arms many times this season. On July 20th, it played host to the wedding reception of Kelly and Nick.
The night was filled with empty tables on the sides of a jam-packed dance floor. From the first song post salad drop, to the last sing along of the evening, the guests came out in full force. The night ranged from songs both new and old, and we would be remiss if we left out any of the average set list that fills the bars of Sea Isle at around 1:30 AM late every Saturday night of summer. If you are a goer you understand the necessity of it, and if you do not, you should find yourself there. I am proud to call myself a goer, and am certainly better for it.
My music style varies from party to party of course, based on the requests from the bride and groom. While I always remain in the confines of the requests, I use my creative freedom to stretch the boundaries a bit. I never veer too far off the list, as we want every song to be recognizable by all, but often continuously bridge the gap between the generations song after song to keep as many guests out there as possible. With such a large crowd, I knew I was being set up for a fantastic evening of lots of happy feet.
I was told that the family had a next level sing along to Tom Petty’s “Free Fallin” by creatively adding in the father of the Groom’s name into the song title. The family (there were quiet a few of them present) gathered on the floor for a group shot. As soon as the last click of the camera was heard, “Fred Foley” poured out from the masses.
Throughout the season I have been honored to work with the folks at Normandy Farm for several events. Ashley and the rest of the staff there are among the best in the business. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done for me this season, and especially for this stellar performance! To the wonderful Nicole Lois on the photos for the evening, you were a true professional. Shout out as well to Walter Cherkas from Muddy Snow Productions on video; you brought an incredible energy to the evening with you that we fed off of, brilliant work!
Kelly and Nick, I was there the night you finally decided to hit it off, and was there the night that you finally decided to call it forever. I was honored to work along side of you. Thank you for the opportunity and I cannot wait to see what you two have in store next!
