The Northampton Valley Country Club Wedding of Carly and Joe

In July 2018 I had the honor of being selected to DJ the wedding of Carly and Joe at the Northampton Country Club, located in historic Bucks County, Pennsylvania. This bride and groom certainly stood out from the pack as a couple who were open to ideas, full of happy energy and ready to celebrate an amazing day. Our time spent planning the big day gave me the feeling that this was a pair that came from love and were ready to start a new chapter of their life. Those feelings were proven true when I finally met their friends and family.

Many Brides and Grooms will share their vows in private as a way to either speed up the ceremony or cut down on the “sappiness”… but not Carly and Joe. They grabbed the mic and shared their love openly for all of their family, friends and guests to witness. It was like an espresso shot of heart that took an already romantic evening to another level.

Our parents and bridal party danced into the room to classics by Stevie Wonder and Kesha, which only primed the crowd to cheer when our newlyweds entered to “Shut Up and Dance” by Walk the Moon. A wondrous first dance to Van Morrison’s “Into The Mystic” brought smiles and laughter…and a few happy tears.

The reception was smooth-sailing as the guests danced from the end of dinner to the time the shuttles left. Singing and shaking to hits that ranged from Michael Jackson to Pitbull turned the rest of the night into a blowout of fun!  As a Wedding DJ, I’ve always gotten a natural high from packing a dance floor, and sharing in the contagious energy of the guests dancing and “shaking their thang” in full celebration mode.  I love to DJ, and it makes it that much better when you’re working with great folks who – ultimately – just want to have the times of their lives.
