Andrea and Tom’s Bucks County Wedding
2017 was a busy year for Cutting Edge Entertainment, as well as myself. Occasionally, some events blend into the background while other jump to the forefront. The wedding of Andrea and Tom on October 28th is one that jumps to the head of the pack. I believe that every party is unique. The ability to make each reception the best it can be begins when I meet the clients. Each wedding is prepared two to three weeks before the wedding, when we have our clients come in and meet with their DJ at our office.
I would have to say one of the most memorable things about Andrea and Tom’s wedding was our pre-wedding meeting. We listened and picked out all the music for the dinner and dancing. I also helped them select music for the grand entrances and cake cutting. I had a lot of fun sitting with them, and going over every last detail for the wedding. As we settled on each song selection you could sense excitement as her vision was becoming a reality.
The wedding was held at the Brookside Manor in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, a venue we have performed at many times in the past. The staff there is always on top of all their game and they know how to keep a reception running smoothly. After a few toasts, dinner began and as always, the staff at the Brookside Manor did an outstanding job of accommodating all guests and providing an excellent dinner. Once everyone was done, we got the party going. Both myself and DJ Lane worked hard to read the crowd, and kept the music going back to back and beat to beat. This was a great crowd and a fun wedding to DJ.
Andrea and Tom are definitely both party animals, and they really wanted all of their guests to have a great time. They picked the right Wedding DJ for the job, because getting (and keeping) people out on the dance floor happens to be my specialty. I played everything from “Shout” by Otis Day and The Knights to “24K” by Bruno Mars, and everyone had a blast. One thing remained the same… It didn’t hurt that this crowd was ready to go as soon as dinner was over, and did not stop until the reception came to a close.
Now, of course, I can’t take all the credit for the success of the party. I worked together with a great staff at the Brookside Manor, who did a great job and were easy to work with. Great food is a key element to a successful party, and the food at the venue was outstanding. I also worked alongside Laura of Laura Leigh Photography. She took some great pictures from the party. Finally I need to thank the Andrea and Lee for being so much fun to work with and get to know. It is easy to keep the dance floor packed when the bride and groom are out there in the thick of it. Everyone here at Cutting Edge Entertainment wishes you all the best, and we hope to see you on the dance floor at future events.
~DJ Richie
A few weeks after the wedding Andrea was nice enough to post the following testimonial on our Facebook page:
Richie from Cutting Edge Entertainment was the DJ at my wedding on 10/28/17 at Brookside Manor Somerton Springs. After being referred by a friend about how great of a job he did at her sister’s wedding we knew we had to meet this guy. Richie did not disappoint! My husband is in the wedding business and when we left our first meeting he said we absolutely have to book him! And we did. Richie did a phenomenal job at our wedding. The dance floor was packed immediately after dinner to the end of the night, which is exactly what we wanted! I am so thankful that we hired Richie and I highly recommend working with him and Cutting Edge Entertainment!
