Rhiannon and Jeremy’s Wedding
On April 20, 2013, I had the honor of partying with (and being the Wedding DJ for) Rhiannon and Jeremy’s wedding. The location was perfect for this close-knit group of family and friends. The Joseph Ambler Inn was the venue and the weather was wonderful. A simple room setup allowed for plenty of space for celebrating and dancing, while being elegant and beautiful at the same time.
Our guests entered the room ready to party from the start; I could almost feel an air of disappointment when the guests had to sit down when they first entered the room, as you could tell these folks wanted to do nothing but dance and party. Thankfully, that didn’t last very long. Some classic tracks like “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder and “Sexyback” by Justin Timberlake helped welcome our family and bridal party into the room. Rhiannon and Jeremy came into a great song, “Love You Madly” by Cake. After sharing their first dance to the sounds of Ben Folds Five, we shared some heartfelt and emotional toasts. Rhiannon was overwhelmed by the love being shared throughout the room; Jeremy couldn’t help but smile. The close-knit family got a little closer during the Hora that opened the dancing. A blend of new and old kept the dance-floor packed all night long.
It goes without saying (but I’ll say it anyway) that – as a Wedding DJ – an enthusiastic and participatory crowd are like a dream come true, and as good as a Wedding DJ as I may be (or any wedding DJ for that matter), a receptive group of guests really makes our job all that much better – especially when the bride and groom are at the center of things.
I was sad to see it all end, but was thrilled about the reactions on the dance floor. Both Rhiannon and Jeremy smiled and laughed all night. Thank you to the staff at the Joseph Ambler Inn for helping to make this an amazing night. As always, Nicole Leigh took great images to show the fun, and was great to work with. As far as a team goes, Nicole Leigh and The Joseph Ambler Inn are an all-star ensemble, which helps to make the whole reception run smoothly and successfully.
Congratulations, Rhiannon and Jeremy. It was a pleasure and my honor to share your special day and to rock the floor with you! I wish you both the best in your future together as husband and wife.
