Setting the Stage for Bar Mitzvahs and Bat Mitzvahs
Literally…
A few years back, Brian Toner and his team at Eventions Productions built some lighted LED stages that we here at Cutting Edge have had our eye on for quite some time. We liked these particular stages for a few reasons… They were made in America, they were sturdy and well put together, but mostly, because they were really, really cool.
As it happens, we have been in talks with Eventions Productions regarding using them to enhance our Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah packages with their lighting products and services. The goal was for our Mitzvah packages to remain affordable, while bringing in a professional lighting company to supplement us with professional-grade lighting. We have always offered lighting, but truth be told, the technology has changed up (several times) in the last decade or so, and our lighting fixtures were simply obsolete (not very “Cutting Edge” of us). We entertained the idea of using companies other than Eventions Productions, including those of some of our competitors, but found them to be sub-par. What Eventions offered was not only state-of-the-art, but an endless and ever evolving inventory. After meetings with Rian, Brian and Matt, we chose Eventions for our high-end lighting.
Since 1994, our core competency has always been talent. We had had a great lighting designer, but he moved on to greener pastures and we never found a viable replacement… until now. The choice to outsource lighting is a win for both us and for our customers, as Eventions doesn’t “also” do lighting; That’s all they do. So we thought, Why not bring the same top of the line lighting used at concerts, casinos and museums to our Bar and Bat Mitzvah client? Or even for our Sweet 16 or Quinceañera client? Or any party for that matter… These stages are just that cool!
As for the stages, well, click on the video. The acquisition of these LED stages from Eventions Productions was merely a byproduct of a bigger partnership. The video is both cool, and funny, as it features Brian Toner and the staff at Eventions dancing around – something you won’t often see. The video was produced by David Williams at CinemaCake, who was kind enough to re-brand the footage for Cutting Edge Entertainment. So, that’s what we mean by “setting the stage” – as we have now added the Eventions Productions LED stage to our arsenal.
As they say… Great things happen in (or on) stages.
Thanks Eventions!!
