Angela and Brian’s Knowlton Mansion Wedding
Angela and Brian are an awesome couple, that I really enjoyed getting to know. Their wedding and reception were held on October 14th of 2011 at the Knowlton Mansion in Philadelphia. The night began with the wedding ceremony held on site at the mansion. The bride and groom had friends perform the music, while we provided microphones. Sometimes people overlook the fact that people sitting in the back may be unable to hear the ceremony (vows, etc), and having a microphone set up for the officiant, along with the bride and groom eliminates any concerns. Once the ceremony ended, the cocktail hour started. For this part of the party, I played music from the Vitamin String Quartet. As the music filtered through, guests enjoyed plenty of hors d’ouvres and drinks. When cocktail hour concluded, we gathered everyone into the ballroom to start our introductions. As our parents, bridal party, bride, and groom entered the room, the crowd went nuts. Once the bride and groom entered the room, they took center stage on the dance floor and had their first dance. After toasts by the Maid of Honor and Best Man, the staff of Conroy Catering did a great job providing an excellent meal for all in attendance. When dinner ended, the bride, groom, and all of their guest hit the dance floor full force. Angela and Brian were out there dancing virtually the entire evening, and that really makes my job a whole lot easier. Where the bride and groom are, their guests will follow. Everybody was out there on the dance floor pretty much the entire night. As I played the last song of the evening, not a single person was in their seat. I feel its important to end any party on a high note, so I always make sure to play a high energy song last.
This was one of the most fun weddings I have ever done at the Knowlton Mansion, and it was because of the bride and groom. Angela and Brian are amazing, and I enjoyed getting to know them before the wedding and it was awesome to be a part of their celebration. I look forward to staying in touch with them, as they begin their lives together as husband and wife. I also had the opportunity to work Barnyard Photography, they did a great job. The pictures came out great and I appreciate Sean for letting me feature them on the blog. A few weeks after the wedding, the bride and groom were nice enough to log onto Wedding Wire and write the following testimonial.
Richie from cutting edge entertainment was our MC and DJ for our wedding and he did an amazing job! we had two meetings with him prior to the wedding where we ironed out details and went over our music choices. I did provide him with a list of “must plays” and I believe most of them were played.. i was just too busy to hear everything all night to know for sure. He kept the dance floor packed and was a ton of fun during the reception. Great value, great company!
