Stacy and Dave’s Talamore C.C. Wedding
On Sunday July 11th I worked yet another wedding, this time at the Talamore Country Club. This was not my first time working at Talamore, myself and others from the Cutting Edge Entertainment staff have been there many times. This particular wedding celebration was for Stacy and Dave, who got a chance to see me perform at a friend’s wedding before choosing me as their DJ. I’m extremely lucky (and grateful) to have worked with so many great clients in the past that are generous enough to refer me to friends and family looking for a DJ for an event.
The wedding started out with the ceremony being held on site at the country club. We provided all the traditional music for the ceremony. Once the ceremony was over, guests headed to the cocktail area, which we also provided the music for. During a cocktail hour I try to play a wide variety of music; tracks from Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra along with some more modern cocktail music from Harry Connick Jr. and Michael Buble create a nice, yet classy and sophisticated atmosphere. Once the cocktail hour was over, everyone made their way into the ballroom where we began the introductions and first dance. Directly afterward, dinner was served by the Talamore staff. We were able to do our parent dances during dinner, while our bride and her father had a special surprise for their guests. The father daughter dance started traditionally enough, with the slow song from Heartland, “I Loved Her First”. Then, about a minute and a half into song we scratched and transitioned into “Crank That” from Soulja Boy. Both the bride and her dad broke into a dance that had the guests scrambling to the dance floor with camera in hand to capture the moment. Stacy was one bride that understood what a reception is all about… fun! Once dinner was over people were ready to party. The reception went great and we were glad to be a part of it.
The staff at Talamore did a great job. The event planning and service from the staff are top notch. I also got to work with Creative Images. Eric – the photographer – took some great images of the party. Of course, I need to thank Paula for getting us these pictures to post on our blog. Also, a huge thank you to Jessica and Lee Nolan, who’s wedding it was where bride and groom first met me. Jessica and Lee have been kind enough to let me use them as a reference on several occasions, and do a great job of telling potential clients about our services. They are the best, and I hope to stay in touch with them. Finally, Stacy and Dave you both throw an amazing party. Your friends and family are awesome and I was extremely happy to be a part of your big day. Best of luck to you in the future, and congratulations on your marriage.
